Unscreen is a focus and screen-time self-control app built by ai2me. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Unscreen iOS app.
When you create an account, we collect your email address, an optional name, and a unique user identifier generated by our backend. This information is used only to authenticate you, secure your account, and enable account recovery. It is stored by our backend service provider and is never sold or shared for advertising.
If you choose to add a profile photo, the image is stored locally on your device and is also uploaded to your account so it can persist across devices. You can remove it at any time in the app.
Unscreen can read step counts from Apple HealthKit to verify walking tasks and award focus minutes. Step counts are read only when you start a relevant task and are used on-device for verification. Health data is never sold, shared for advertising, or used beyond the task verification flow.
Analytics such as unlock attempts, focus streaks, and locked-app usage are computed and stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers.
Unscreen uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to help you block distracting apps. Your selections and usage estimates are processed on-device and are not sent to us.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Backend authentication services are provided by InsForge under their data-processing terms.
You can delete your account at any time from Me → Data → Delete Account. Account deletion removes your profile and authentication data from our backend. Local data can be erased with Me → Data → Delete App Data.
Unscreen is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on our website.
